Conveniently located near the reference desk, the library’s collection of Large type books includes popular titles printed in a larger font for readers with visual impairments.

Our new Memory Kits provide interesting and stimulating activities for you and your loved one to work on together. Each kit contains an assortment of materials to help engage memory through as many senses as possible. These are not only meant to be used for cognitive stimulation, but also as a means of inspiring reminiscence, conversation and creativity.
Home Library Service
The library provides service to those will mobility impairments by delivering materials to their homes. Care Calls service
Côte Saint-Luc residents who live alone can sign up to receive a weekday call, at a prearranged time, to confirm their well-being. Also, residents will receive a special birthday message. For more information, contact [email protected] or 514-485-6800 ext. 4306
The library provides the ability to join online, join by telephone or join by email to those who can’t physically come to the library. The library provides Proxy memberships for those caregivers whose charges prefer to not be part of the Home Library Service. To become a member by telephone, contact 514-485-6900.
A CCTV reader magnifies text found in books, magazines or other print formats for those with low vision.
Large type keyboard
This keyboard features large keys that make it easier to type for those with low vision.
A trackball mouse allows for more precision when scrolling.

Both entrances to the building are equipped with special doors that open at the touch of a button for easier access.
A wheelchair ramp is available
Designated parking spots
Designated parking spots are available which are wider and nearest to the back entrance of the building.
Designated bathroom stalls
Designated stalls are available in the men’s and women’s bathrooms which are wider and include a handle for those with reduced mobility.
Elevator with braille
An elevator with braille is available through City Hall for access to the Harold Greenspon Auditorium or Council chamber.
