Transition to cloudLibrary

Welcome to CSL, cloudLibrary!

The CSLPL has migrated its English e-book and e-audiobook collection from OverDrive/Libby to cloudLibrary.

What is cloudLibrary?cloudLibrary is the new platform that will host the Library’s English collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks for adults, teens and children.
Why did the library switching over from OverDrive/Libby to cloudLibrary?cloudLibrary gives our patrons access to more titles as it allows you to borrow from the available collections of several other libraries in Quebec. You have access to multiple collections, all in one place while enjoying the same ease of use as with Overdrive, on whichever device you use to read eBook or listen to audiobooks.
Will my OverDrive/Libby’s reading history, loans or holds transfer over to cloudLibrary?Unfortunately, your reading history, as well as any reservations or holds you have in OverDrive will not carry over to cloudLibrary. Make a note of any reservations you wish to keep, and use the cloudLibrary platform to put in your reservations/holds once access is available.
Which other library’s digital content will I be able to access? With cloudLibrary, you will be able to borrow and read available titles from the following libraries: Dollard-des-Ormeaux Public Library, Pointe-Claire Public Library, Beaconsfield Library, Kirkland Public Library and Reginald J. P. Dawson Library.
How will I be able to access other library’s CloudLibrary content? This is automatic and you do not need to do anything to see the content from other libraries.
How will I access content from cloudLibrary?Much like OverDrive/Libby, you can access content from cloudLibrary on the cloudLibrary website, the cloudLibrary app on Apple or Android devices, as well as transfer over e-Books to your Kobo e-reader via Adobe Digital Editions.
Can I use cloudLibrary on my Kobo e-reader?Yes, you can transfer e-books from cloudLibrary to your Kobo e-reader. Note that audiobooks are not transferrable. For more information on how to use cloudLibrary with your Kobo, consult this guide.
Is there a cloudLibrary app?Yes! You can download the cloudLibrary app for free on your mobile device via the App Store (Apple devices) or the Play Store (Android devices). For help with getting set up, consult the guide for Apple devices or the guide for Android devices.
What type of content can I find on cloudLibrary? With cloudLibrary, you can borrow online books and audiobooks in English.

How many people can check out one title at the same time?Similar to OverDrive/Libby, one person can check out one copy of a title at a time.
How long is a title checked out to me?A title is checked out to you for 21 days. After that time, you can renew it if no one is waiting to read it. This can be done within 3 days of the title being due. After 21 days, the title expires automatically.
How many titles can I check out at a time? You can check out up to 5 titles at a time.
