Community Art Space

_

The Community Art Space is an exhibition area located in the non-fiction section of the library which provides an opportunity for individuals and local groups to share their work with the numerous people who visit the library. We look forward to seeing exhibitions of artwork that are accessible to all ages and that will surprise, captivate and engage visitors.

Artist Statement

As a non-professional photographer of some 65 years, I have had a wide range of experiences: first published at age ten, university yearbook photo editor, many years of travel photography, teaching photography at high school and CEGEP levels and finally to my present obsession with abstract and vegetation photography. I developed the first secondary school visual literacy course in Québec. My current mission is to help reveal aspects of the world usually missed by most passers-by. I had a well-received one-man show at the Côte Saint-Luc library in 2019. I have also given workshops on digital photography.

Note: As David's works are digital, they are available in a variety of sizes, finishes and mountings.
