You must be a member of the Library before applying.
**Space is limited, so please apply early if your school requires volunteer hours.**

How can I become a volunteer at the Library?
Step 1: Make sure you are a Library member and your card is up to date. Not sure? Please call the Library at 514-485-6900 and we can check your membership for you.

Step 3: Thank you for applying to be a volunteer! We accept applications but do not always have immediate opportunities available. Please allow 7-10 days for a staff member to contact you with more information.
If your membership is expired or you are not a Library member, the process of receiving volunteering opportunities will be delayed.

The Library offers several special volunteering programs for teens ages 12-17.

Tidy the shelves and help keep the library looking great!

Program Volunteer
Join the mailing list to help assist with children’s and teen programs, from planning or preparing, to helping in the program itself. Includes opportunities like Youth Advisory Group (YAG) meetings, LEGO Club Assistant, Chess Club Assistant, Book Sale Volunteer, STEAM program helper.
